What are ElectroBikes?

Consider our bikes as three in one. With regular pedal, pedal-assist, and throttle on EVERY model, these state-of-the art, Lithium-ion powered bicycles can navigate you over hills and travel 20 - 30 miles on one charge.

What type of warranty comes with an ElectroBike?

We back all of our bikes with a seven year warranty on the frame and one year on manufactured parts, with the exception of brakes and tires. (Extended warranties are also available.)

What are the pedal assist and throttle modes on our bicycles?

Pedal assist uses sensors built into the bike to gauge the rider's pedaling and provide assistance automatically. They allow the ride to feel more like a natural biking experience. Employing pedal assist helps you travel faster and further, especially in Atlanta. Throttles provide full on-demand power giving you a burst of speed when you need it. Many riders use the throttle for bursting through an intersection from being stopped, integrating themselves quickly and safely into traffic from a standstill, or powering up a hill. Throttles are also great if you want to take a break from pedaling and still cruise forward.

Are ElectroBikes allowed on bicycle trails and the Beltline?

Of course! At less than 5 horsepower, our bikes are not prohibited on trails and Atlanta's beautiful Beltline.

Can you ride an ElectroBike in the rain?

Yes- our bikes can handle any sized downpour! (Just make sure you do not submerge the motor under water, as that will void the warranty).

Are ElectroBikes noisy?

Not at all. Our bikes are equipped with brushless motor, that makes a soft hum.

How often do you have to recharge the battery?

Our Lithium-ion batteries plug into regular household outlets and take roughly 2-3 hours to fully charge.

Can I charge the battery by pedaling?

The battery can only be charged by plugging it into a household wall outlet. The more you pedal, the further and faster you can go, but pedaling does not charge the battery.

How long until a battery needs to be replaced?

With proper care, the batteries should last 5+ years.

Why do our e-bikes use hub motors instead of a mid-drive system?

ElectroBike Georgia chose hub motors for multiple reasons. The first is that they are brushless and extremely quiet, which makes riding much more enjoyable. They are also maintenance-free and do not interfere or put additional tension on the bike's drive-train (cassette, chain, derailleur). This allows for effortless shifting, just like a normal bicycle. Because each of our bikes are equipped with a throttle, the hub motor provides the most efficient and affordable source of on-demand power.

What type of maintenance do ElectroBikes require?

Our electric bikes require the same basic maintenance as a regular bike. Keeping air in the tires to avoid pinch-flats and cleaning/lubing the chain will have your bike rolling for thousands of miles.
